The Center for Research and Studies on Labor, Economy and Development Problems (Cles Srl) is an independent company, founded in 1981. Cles is one of the leading specialist, strategic consultancy and technical assistance companies for public administrations, national institutions and agencies, local authorities and large private institutions and associations of the Third Sector, as well as being a centre specialised in research and evaluation in the socio-economic and territorial field.
Cles is active throughout the national territory and also in various European and non-European countries and operates both by making use of consolidated teams of experts and collaborators, who apply procedures and methods that have been successfully tested, and also by joining national and international networks, with involvement in partnerships on specific projects.

Our History
The Cles company was founded by a pool of university professors, including Paolo Leon. In almost 40 years of gained experience, Cles has carried out technical assistance, socio-economic research, policy evaluation, and provided strategic support to administrations and policy makers.
Over the years, Cles has undergone profound changes, adapting to the country’s economic and social transformations, taking on an active role and supporting its evolution through studies, applied investigation, assistance provided to public administrations and promotion of programs, interventions, and innovative policies. Over the years, Cles has collaborated to achieve important public objectives, linked to the planning and managing of large investment strategies for economic development, co-financed by European funds, guaranteeing support throughout the whole life cycle , from design to implementation and, finally, to surveillance and evaluation.
During this long period of time, Cles has increasingly come to inherit a series of characteristics that today constitute a distinctive trait within the reference market ,and which distinguishes its work: alongside flexibility and adaptability. The company is characterised by a strong professional morale code based on fairness and transparency, with the aim of transforming assistance and research services into opportunities for capacity-building, empowering knowledge and skills of the human resources present in the Administrations and Bodies.
